An anthropological introduction to YouTube

YouTube - An anthropological introduction to YouTube You Tube has become a real free medium in the sense a 50 year old in his living room can make a video blog about his life or view points; having a deep profound moment and then someone on the other side of the world comment on it, giving reassurance and simply connecting with another person. This ability to build a digital community is so amazing and even more amazing is how it then transends to what we know as the "real world". For example, the FREE HUG campaign: Click to here to watch What is amazing is how the internet or more specifically Web 2.0 is changing the way we not just look at the world but how we think about it; interact with it and through it, we connect while still being free to be whatever we want to be, if only on a 445x364 screen.
